A KLM Douglas DC-3C crashed shortly after takeoff from Copenhagen Kastrup Airport when the flight crew attempted to depart with the elevator gust locks still engaged. As the aircraft accelerated and rotated, the elevators remained fixed in a position that forced the nose upward. The resulting aerodynamic stall was unrecoverable at the low altitude reached by the aircraft.
