Investigation Summary
On February 16, 2022, a Cessna FA150K Aerobat, manufactured by Reims Aviation, departed Jerez-La Parra Airport at 11:08 UTC for a planned two hour solo training flight. The aircraft was operated by Fly In Spain (FIS ATO Europe SL). According to the final investigation report by the Spanish CIAIAC, the aircraft lost control approximately 50 minutes into the flight, entering a spin before impacting the ground in an agricultural area near Pinzon and Utrera, roughly 35 kilometers north of the departure airport. The aircraft was destroyed by the impact. The aircraft had recently undergone an annual inspection on January 10, 2022, and had accumulated approximately 10,630 total airframe hours at the time of the accident.
